Swimming

Jude went swimming in his new pool for the first time with his cousin Chloe. John's sister and her family have been living with us for the past week while they look for a place.

Easter Pics

Cousin Simon - Simon is such a cutie and has a great personality. I told him I wanted to take his picture and he gave me this nice pose.

Jude fell asleep in Great Grandpa's arms. What a priceless photo.

If only they could stay this small forever:)

Some pretty spring flowers that were on the table.

Jude's Easter basket was mostly filled with toys, but his Aunt Melissa and Aunt Elise made him these Easter eggs.

Upstairs Bathroom

Since I was so pleased with the first countertop I decided to do it on our upstairs bathroom too. I figured I would practice on my bathrooms before I took the plunge on my kitchen. I even sprinkled some glitter in there to give it a more granite look. It looks so good! I love it! The picture doesn't do it justice. Next I need to paint those ugly cabinets. I was wondering how I would like the feel of the hard glaze on top. I was afraid when it was dry it would feel rubbery or like plastic, but it doesn't. It's a nice hard surface. I'm so happy with the results, and so happy that it cost me so little.

Like my new Granite Countertop?!

Just kidding....it's not really granite. I wish! I really wanted to change our ugly formica, but couldn't afford anything new, not even new formica, so I painted my bathroom countertop and then put a very shiny glaze on it. It's much shinier than the picture shows. It looks like granite until you get right up to it and even then you might not notice unless you really pay attention to it. I'm quite pleased for only costing me $20! I think I might tackle my kitchen counters next. Those are the worst because they have several stains.
We've had some nice weather lately and Jude enjoys playing out on the deck with his toys. He loves being outside. I just put a baby gate up to block the stairs and let him play away.

Jude has been walking short distances a lot the last few days. I think the longest he's gone is 5 steps. My baby is getting so big! I'm excited to see him learn new things, but seeing him walk makes him look like a toddler and not a baby anymore:(

Look What I Found.....

I went onto our patio today to find this guy. It startled me at first and then he slithered under our deck where I think he may be living. It's just a Garter Snake and not poisonous so I guess if he wants to live under there I don't care. John doesn't like snakes much so he may want to move it to a new location.
