6 Months Old
Jude Turned 6 months today! He's getting so big. I can't believe it. He is starting to crawl around now, though it's a little uncoordinated still. He can sit on his own if he steadies himself with his hand. He can pull himself up. He loves to laugh, smile and make loud, high pitched noises. His favorite toys are his remote control and his chicken. He also LOVES to be naked. Whenever he's getting fussy I know all I have to do is strip him down and he's happy as can be. The only foods I've given him so far are cereal, apples and banana. His favorite so far seems to be apples. It's so fun to watch him discover new things. He's such a joy to have. I couldn't ask for a better baby.

So Big!
Jude pulled himself up to a standing position for the first time yesterday. I was lying on the floor when he crawled up to me, grabbed onto my belt and up he went! I don't know if he would be able to pull himself up using something as big as a chair, but he also pulled himself up this morning using his bouncy seat.
What a mess Jude
Jude likes to play with the fireplace. Yesterday he got a hold of the poker tool and got his hand all black with soot. Luckily, i got to him before he got any on my rug or his clothes. I caught him with it in his mouth the other day. I didn't get a picture though because I was more interested in wiping the soot out of his mouth. It would have been a funny picture though. He had it all over his face.

Painted Cabinets
John and I painted our kitchen cabinets. We also bought hardware for them. We don't have all the hardware on yet. As you can see, some of the cabinets don't have handles. Next step is to put in a new floor. We have the tile, we just need the time to install it. I would also like to get new countertops eventually. Installing things yourself brings down the cost of remodeling quite a bit, but unfortunately we can't install countertops ourselves. I would love to get granite or butcher block, but I don't know if we'll be able to afford it. We may just get more formica or laminate HD. I want something a little darker and warmer to contrast with the white cabinets. Plus, ours has a few stains on it that show up easily on the white.
