It looks like they're both chewing the rope in this pic, but I assure you it's only Ruby.
These two get along so well. They play together all the time. The key to their friendship is that Ruby will put up with just about anything. You can't tell from this last picture, but Jude isn't just sitting on her, he's bouncing up and down.
We went out to Knoxville this past weekend to stay with my Grandpa while my parents were up North.

It rained on the way home and we saw a rainbow. I was having trouble getting a very clear picture of it. I didn't have my good camera with me.
Jude has learned where mommy keeps the goodies and how to get them himself. He's getting so big:(
So, it turns out that Ruby is allergic to some sort of insect. We think it's either fire ants or bees. This is the fourth time she's had a reaction. The first time she had huge amounts of swelling at the site of the sting/bite accompanied with hives. Her whole left side of her face swelled up. I actually had to take her to the vet that time because she turned pale white and was having labored breathing. The second and third times were only swelling, and now this time there's no swelling, in fact, I don't even see where she got stung, only hives all over her body. I've been giving her Benadryl every time I see the start of a reaction and it seems to work, so I guess I'll just have to always have some on hand. I had no idea dogs could be allergic to bees or fire ants, but the vet said that it wasn't all that uncommon.
Jude and I went swimming at a friends house this morning. It was a lot of fun.
Jude enjoyed playing in the dirt more than swimming. He also enjoyed eating the dirt.
Grandma and Grandpa Falk came for the weekend.
Jude wanted to lick the whip cream spatula from the dessert I made. He has my sweet tooth.
We went to the McGills on the 4th. It was a lot of fun.

John and my friend Ashley thought it would be funny to get my picture with Jude and this box of fireworks that said "One Bad Mother".
Jude was afraid of the fireworks so Grandma took him inside to watch them.
He doesn't know how to use a fork or spoon yet, but lately he's been wanting one with every meal. I think it makes him feel big.
John has started a garden out back. It has tomatoes, bell pepper and banana peppers. It used to have jalapenos but they didn't make it.
Ruby is getting big. She is 7 months old now. She is a good dog and gets along so well with Jude. They're great friends. They play with each other all day. Jude loves to grab her toy and then run and Ruby follows. Jude cracks up. Ruby eventually gets her toy back and it starts all over again. Jude can crawl on her and even sits on her head and she doesn't even flinch. He's even taken food away from her and she doesn't do a thing.
