He's a very happy baby.

2 month checkup.....

Jude weighed 12lb 3oz and was a little over 24 inches long. He is 75th percentile for weight and almost 90 for length. The doctor kept going on and on about what a cute and sweet baby he was. In fact I think he may have said "the sweetest." ;) He was also very impressed with his strength and visual awareness.

We just love this little guy to death. I'm enjoying being a mother more and more every day. I love to watch him discover new things, like how to make sounds with his mouth, suck his thumb, and how he can now recognise our faces and how it puts a smile on his face. It just melts my heart. There's just nothing like being a parent. I wouldn't trade it for anything. John is so good with Jude. He loves him so much, and I love to watch them together. I had no doubt that John would be a good father, but seeing him with Jude I can already tell he's going to be a GREAT father.

He's Found It!

Jude has finally found his thumb. I found him sucking on it during a nap the other day. Isn't it cute? He's been trying to figure it out for the past month so I'm so proud of him. He used to spend hours sucking on his fist with great concentration, but now he has found his thumb and can keep it in.

Jude Slept Through the Night!

Jude slept through the night for the first time Thrusday night and then again last night! He slept from 9:30pm to 7:00am. This makes me so happy. I hope he keeps it up. Both nights I woke up at around 4 or 5 expecting him to want to eat. Then it was hard for me to go back to sleep because I was half awake expecting to hear him start to fuss, but it never happened! The first time he did it he woke up at 7 and I picked him up and said "Jude you slept through the night! I'm so proud of you." and Jude got this huge smile on his face like he was proud of himself too:)

Anderson Reunion 2008!

As many of you know, every year we go to Pigeon Forge for the Anderson family reunion - my mom's side of the family. This was our first year with a baby and it was so much fun to show him off:)
I really like this picture of us, but I just noticed that if you zoom in to John's glasses all you see is that white head of Grandpa reflecting off of other people's shirts:)

John's Sister Came To Visit

John's sister, Tara and her family came to stay with us for a few days a couple of weekends ago. They were the first from John's side of the family to meet Jude.

On Sunday our cell had a swimming party at the Jemsons. It was a nice day for it too. 90+ degrees and sunny.

Josiah Warren Willis

Josiah Warren was born at 3:42pm Wednesday the 9th weighing 7lb 20z and was 19 1/2 inches long.

The 4th of July

This 4th of July we had some friends over for a cookout. We watched the fireworks in our development. There are several houses around us that always shoot off some really good displays. So we watched those, played some corn hole, ladder ball and had s'mores.
