Patio

John and I are putting in a patio. Well, John is putting in a patio. I'm just supervising:) This is what we've done so far. It's more complicated than I thought it would be. John had to level the ground with dirt, then put down a layer of sand to lay the blocks on, and laying the blocks wasn't easy because it's hard to get them level. John worked all day yesterday on just laying the blocks and this was all he was able to get done.

It looks like a lot of work, but it will be nice once it's done. Poor John doing all the physical labor by himself...Beth you really should help out more! :) I'm sure you are going to use the old "I'm 9 months pregnant" excuse, but c'mon!

I did mow the lawn for John so he would have the time to build the patio. So in a way, I helped build the patio by helping John to be able to build the patio:)

If you think about how important leadership development is at Lighthouse, then we can all realize that you supervising the project is just as important as (or more) than the one actually doing it:)

Yes, thank you Erika, I agree:)

What I like about John is that when he sets his mind to do a project, he does it! I'm very good at getting a great idea for a project, but starting it and then finishing it is another story! I hope the patio will soon be done and you will be able to sit out there for dinner, John, and Beth can wait on you!
