Jude's New Table
Jude loves his new table. He enjoys eating at it like a big boy. He always makes sure to push his chair in when he leaves the table too. Such a good boy:) I plan on buying some chalkboard paint and painting the top with it so he can color right on the table. We got this table from our friends who are moving to west asia in a week to be missionaries. So this table serves two purposes. One, a place for Jude to eat and play, and two, a reminder to pray for them as they minister to the Muslims.

Fireplace makeover
Before
After
Ignore the cords from the tv, John is going to hide them. He just hasn't gotten to it yet. They look quite messy.
I hated the marble that was originally on our fireplace. It was stained and I didn't like the color at all. I had heard that you could paint over marble as long as you sanded well before and used certain kinds of paint. So I sanded the marble really well and I got some black stove and grill paint that can withstand really high heat. I like it a lot. The only problem is it takes so long to dry and a fly got stuck in it when it was still tacky. I tried to pick him out, but parts of him remained. His legs and wings are forever embedded in it. I might sand it lightly again in the future and put another coat on. I felt a little guilty about painting over marble, but it really was ugly and now it doesn't look painted, it just looks like black marble or granite.

New Van
We decided to sell our car and get a van. We were finding that taking trips with the Jeep was much nicer than with the car since it has more space. However, it doesn't get the greatest gas mileage so we decided we would sell our car and get a van that will get better gas mileage and we wont grow out of in a few years. This is a 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette that we found on craigslist. One thing I really like about it is that it has a built in dvd player Jude can watch on our long trips.

Jude playing corn hole
We went to Clarksville for a cookout last Saturday. It was so hot! But that didn't stop Jude from having a good time. He enjoyed playing corn hole with the adults. He was trying to help Daddy by picking his up off the grass and putting them on the board. He then started copying what everyone else was doing and throwing them towards the board. He's going to be a good little cornhole player:)
