Oh where oh where could that little dog be?......

Well, most of you already know this, but Kramer, the dog we rescued a couple of months ago, has run away. He dug under our fence and has been missing for several days now:( He didn't have his collar on him because I had given him a bath that morning, so he has no identification on him. We called the shelters and no one has turned him in. We figure some family probably found him and kept him since he had no collar and looked like a stray. The breed is very popular so it wouldn't surprise me. Oh well, as long as he found a good home I'm ok with it. I'll miss him. He was a sweet, cuddly dog, however I wont miss his barking. I just feel bad for Dakota. She is a depressed and lonely dog:( She has so much energy and wants to play all the time, but we don't have the time or energy to play with her as much as she demands. So now we have to figure out if we're going to get another dog or not. I'm not crazy about the idea, since after research into different breeds the only breed I would want is a Boxer and they eat a lot more than a little dog and take up more space. Which would be fine if that was our only dog. I WILL NOT get a small breed again! All of them are barkers. So we are trying to decide what to do. I hate seeing her unhappy and bored all the time though. She is a working dog and needs something to do all the time so we either need to get her a canine companion or some sheep for her to herd around. Which would be nice for John since then he wouldn't have to mow:)

You could get chickens. Dakota could herd them. Steve's mom had border collies and they would herd the chickens and ducks and even children! ...Wait, that's a better idea: you could have more children!

But, I forgot to say, I really am sad about Kramer. He was a cute dog in both looks and actions.

Yeah, he was a sweetie. He barked a lot though! and dug holes in our yard which is how he got to freedom. Just in the short time we've had him I think I've given him 10 baths. He would get so muddy. I just hope someone found him because it got super cold that night and I'm afraid he would have frozen to death. I don't think he did though, I think he would have either come home or gone to someone's house begging to be let in. He's not at all shy. He was everybodies friend. He didn't make a good guard dog:)
