John helped me take some pictures of myself. I've done it before using the tripod, but it takes a lot longer to get everything set up and make sure you're in the right spot, so I told John I'd get everything set up if he'd just point and shoot. They turned out pretty well I think. I don't have many pictures of myself since I'm always the one behind the camera. It's nice to have a day where I can get some self portraits.

Happy 26th! Of course, the downside of you turning 26 is that it reminds me that in a few weeks I turn 36. I like to call that my mid-thirties rather than closer-to-forty-than-thirty, FYI.

Yes, I was going to say too that Dad will be so pleased that you are continuing to get a birthday "portrait" ON THE DAY! (Aren't we so glad now that he does that he does that!) I'll show him these pictures at breakfast tomorrow.
